About the event
Get active and explore some of the capital’s history with a tour of the gateway to London along the Thames’s eastern section.
Starting alongside the grandeur of Woolwich Royal Artillery Barracks (a short walk from the new Elizabeth Line station) – our 25km looped route heads through Charlton, along the Thames Path and around the Greenwich Peninsula. You'll go past the O2, the Old Royal Naval College and the Cutty Sark. Then it’s through the Greenwich foot tunnel and into Docklands – past the Thames Barrier Park and back to Woolwich via the 2nd foot tunnel.
A route steeped in history with iconic sights, and capped with a BBQ and bar at the finish – this will make for a wonderful end of summer celebration.
All levels of experience are welcome. Join as an individual or as a team. Families are welcome.
This event is strictly walking only. No jogging or running is allowed.

Trekking across Iceland for mental health - Maria's story
"We knew that the challenge was going to be difficult. 58km covering volcanic rock, miles upon miles of thick snow, ice cold river crossings with steep ascents and descents that pack a punch on the knees. But we've supported each other through mental health problems; we can support each other through anything"
