Crafternoon - make a difference

Crafternoon means getting together with friends, family or colleagues to hold an afternoon of crafting and raising money for Mind – a fun way to help us be there for everyone with a mental health problem.

You can hold a Crafternoon at anytime of the year, whether it's upcycling your unwanted items after some spring cleaning, cracking out the mince pies and creating decorations at Christmas or sitting in the summer sun and whiling the hours away with a crafty project.

At the moment we're super excited that Spring is here and to celebrate we have a brand new Spring template featuring decoupage. It's easy to get, just register for your Spring Crafternoon pack today.

How does it work?

Sign up for your Crafternoon pack today and you'll find everything you need to know about holding a Crafternoon. It's full of crafting ideas to inspire everyone from beginners to seasoned crafters. There's advice on how to organise a Crafternoon as well as heaps of handy tips to make your fundraising easy.

The pack also includes a template, so you can get crafting straight away or you can visit our online craft cupboard for even more patterns and ideas. We change our templates throughout the year so be sure to keep checking the craft cupboard for more ideas.

Crafting gives me a huge sense of satisfaction. It helps me feel productive and also acts as a distraction when needed. All of which is really important for my mental wellbeing.

Is it for me?

Of course! Anyone can be creative and our Crafternoon pack includes crafting ideas for beginners right up to advanced crafters. It's all about having a go, having fun and not worrying too much about the mess or the finished product. Most importantly it's about raising money to help us make sure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

We'll give you fundraising advice too. We suggest the easiest way to raise money is by asking your guests to make a donation to attend your Crafternoon.

Once you've registered for Crafternoon, you're part of the Crafternoonity and we hope you'll join the Facebook group so you can meet fellow Crafternooners online, ask them questions and share advice and ideas about your crafting and fundraising.

If you like we’ll also keep in touch with you in the run up to your Crafternoon with enewsletters full of even more tips, ideas and crafting news.
