What is Mums Matter?
Mums Matter is a perinatal mental health service.
It aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of new mothers by empowering them with knowledge and understanding of perinatal mental health and by expanding their social networks.
Mums Matter was designed and developed with mums who have lived experience of perinatal mental health issues.
There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a good one.
New motherhood is often imagined to be a time of great joy, happiness and excitement. However, we know that the reality for many mums can be far from this with low moods, anxiety and worrying thoughts and feelings.
Mums Matter supports mums to manage the everyday, nurture themselves and dispel the many myths of motherhood.
From this page you can access all of the meditations and breathing techniques that are part of your weekly sessions, as well as blogs and videos from other new mums.
