Mind in Bradford – health engagement officer

Mind in Bradford is seeking a Health Engagement Officer to improve the physical health and life chances of people with severe mental illness. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in engagement and inciting positive behaviour change.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Work within primary care and community organisation settings to help increase access to, and effectiveness of, physical health checks and physical health interventions for people with severe mental illness
• Work directly with people with severe mental illness to help increase their engagement with and uptake of physical health checks and physical health interventions
• Contribute to the empowerment of people with severe mental illness, ensuring their needs drive service design and delivery
• Raise awareness about severe mental illness and physical health inequalities across the local system
