Derbyshire Mind – finance manager

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Work alongside the board and chief executive to set financial strategy
  • Give financial information and insight to support Derbyshire Mind’s development
  • Maintain all operational management systems and records relating to finance
  • Manage and support a senior administrator
  • Act as company secretary
  • Lead the IT and information governance/data protection functions
  • Lead the implementation of payroll on a monthly basis
  • Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and monthly budget management reports, as well as the annual audit process
  • Attend board meetings as required and be an active member of the finance sub-committee

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • A professional accountancy qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA, and/or at least three years' experience in a financial management role
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining effective financial management systems in an organisation of similar scope
  • Experience of preparing budgets, management accounts, financial reports, and service model costings for tender bids
  • Experience of managing and implementing payroll
  • Thorough knowledge of financial management, legislation and financial accounting principles and procedures
