Coventry and Warwickshire Mind – mental health wellbeing practitioner
In this role you'll support the delivery of Coventry Wellbeing Hub services by carrying out a range of duties which ensure the wellbeing of service users.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Offer practical and emotional, person-centred support that works towards empowerment and recovery appropriate for each individual client
- Offer informal social support to clients accessing the drop-in and outreach activities
- Give information, guidance and signpost individuals to specialist agencies where appropriate
- Assist in the setting up and tidying up of the venue at the start/end of each session
- Assist with themed online support sessions on platforms such as Zoom
- Create and promote a positive, approachable environment
- Co-facilitate emotional development and psychoeducational groups
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- At least one year's experience of supporting people with mental health problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of working with a wide range of people (including people with additional needs or people from diverse backgrounds)
- Ability to work in an online environment using a range of platforms such as Teams and Zoom
- Up to date knowledge of mental health and key issues linked to good wellbeing
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Commitment to valuing fair access and diversity
- Flexible approach to working
