Coventry and Warwickshire Mind – mental health wellbeing practitioner
This role supports the delivery of Coventry Wellbeing Hub services. The service is open 365 days per year and the post includes weekend and evening working on a rota basis.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Offer practical and emotional person-centred support
- Give informal social support to clients accessing the drop-in and outreach activities
- Offer information, guidance and signposting to specialist agencies where appropriate
- Help with setting up and tidying the venue at the start/end of each session
- Help with the provision of themed online support sessions on platforms such as Zoom
- Create and promote a positive, approachable environment
- Co-facilitate emotional development and psychoeducation groups with the Recovery Academy within the Hub where appropriate
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- At least 1 year's experience of supporting people with mental health problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of working with a wide range of people, including people with additional needs or people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work in an online environment using a range of platforms such as Teams and Zoom
- Up to date knowledge of mental health and key issues linked to good wellbeing
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent
- Commitment to valuing fair access and diversity
