Mind responds to news of Stephen Fry's cancer diagnosis
Mind’s President, Stephen Fry, has shared a personal video on his blog where he’s revealed he was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Paul Farmer, Chief Executive at Mind, said:
“This is such sad news and our thoughts are with Stephen and his loved ones. Stephen works tirelessly as Mind’s President to give a voice to those facing mental health problems, and his support of our campaigns over the years has been invaluable, helping many others to speak out about their own experiences. He has led the way in challenging stigma and misunderstanding around mental health and by talking so openly about his prostate cancer diagnosis I am sure he will help reach many men and tackle the taboos around cancer.
“We’re glad to hear that Stephen has had treatment and we send him all of our best wishes at what must be a worrying time.”
