Mind Ambassador George Ezra has raised £168,000 for Mind through his ‘Staying at Tamara’s’ UK tour. After initially selling merchandise in aid of the charity and encouraging his fans to donate through bucket collections, George organised two additional tour dates at the Royal Albert Hall in September with 100% of the profits donated to Mind.

As well as announcing the final fundraising total to his 2.3 million social media followers, George shared a film created by Mind featuring exclusive messages from Mind’s President Stephen Fry, fellow Ambassador Fearne Cotton and a number of his fans who have been supported by Mind’s services.

Cameron, who has used Mind's services, says in the film:

“I have a big battle with depression and it can be a pretty lonely place and sometimes music is one of the biggest companions that helps me, lifts me up and gets me out of that dark, dark place”.

George Ezra says:

“I am thrilled to say we raised over £168,000 for Mind Charity over the course of the Staying At Tamara’s tour! The lovely people over at Mind sent me this video and I had to share it here to say THANK YOU! Thank you for coming to the shows, thank you for giving so generously. Your donations have made a huge difference to the charity.”

Paul Farmer, Chief Executive of Mind says:

“We want to say a huge thank you to George for putting on these amazing concerts and to all of his incredible fans for buying tickets and donating to Mind so generously throughout the tour. Every penny raised will help to fund our vital support services including the Mind Infoline, our advice services and the campaigning we do to secure a better deal for all of us experiencing a mental health problem.”
