for better mental health

Joining the Youth Voice Network

Young people have told us that they want to feel more heard, especially in regards to decisions that affect their lives. Here at Mind, we want to listen.

By joining the Youth Voice Network you will be offered a range of ways to get involved and shape our work. We want to hear from young people with and without personal experience of having mental health problems. You just need to be between the ages of 11 and 24, and be ready to make a difference.

For more information about these roles and the process you can visit our FAQs, or contact us at [email protected].

Through the Youth Voice Network you can:

  • Get involved in blogging and vlogging on topics important to you
  • Participate in online polls and surveys to share your opinion
  • Have opportunities to shape Mind’s work nationally
  • Be kept up to date on the Youth Voice Network via the e-newsletter
  • Gain access to a range of online training, such as mental health awareness and safeguarding
  • Attend regional information days where our team will be hosting drop in sessions for you to get to know them and ask questions
  • Apply to volunteer at specific events, such as supporting Mind’s partnership with the Scouts at fundays

Tell us about yourself

The first step in joining the Network is for you to tell us about yourself. We need to know this information so that we can contact you when there are opportunities that you can get involved in. We really don’t want you to miss out!

Please enter your postcode below, and select your address from the suggestions.

Please check the address shown is correct before continuing

Language Preference

This language preference will only apply to emails you receive from Mind’s Youth Voice team, so if you receive emails from other teams in Mind - for example if you’re fundraising for us or you’re a Mind Member – those emails may come to you bilingually or in just one language. We are working hard to improve our use of the Welsh language and will try to send communications and make opportunities available in your preferred language wherever possible. However, in some instances, they will only be available in one language.

Equality and Diversity Monitoring Form

We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect. We want to know a bit more about you, to understand who we are engaging, and who we need to work harder to reach. We also want to make sure that different communities of young people get a fair chance to work with us and provide you with opportunities that are most relevant to you.

You do not have to answer any questions that you do not want to. If you do provide diversity information in the form below we may use it to send you information that we think is suitable based on the information that you have provided. If you are unsure and want to speak to someone in the team, email us at [email protected]
