Our work would not be possible without the support of funders who share our goals.
We get unrestricted funding (donations that we can use for any purpose) from a number of Trusts and Foundations. This funding is essential. It gives us the flexibility to direct funding to where it’s needed most, and adapt our work when needed.

How trusts and foundations support our work
Funding from Trusts and Foundations helps us run our most important services, such as:
- Our Infoline and Legal line
- Our online peer support community Side by Side
- Our award-winning information resources
This funding also helps us support our network of over 100 local Minds, who provide high quality services to over 425,000 people every year.
Programmes we've launched
Thanks to Trusts and Foundations, we’ve also been able to launch much-needed programmes, such as:
- Our Blue Light Programme, which provides mental health support for emergency service staff
- Our Whole School Approach, a programme that helped improve mental health in schools
- Our Side by Side: Peer Support in your Community programme. This programme coached 621 local peer support leaders to improve mental health peer support, helping over 6,000 people.
If it wasn’t for Mind I’d be lost, or I wouldn’t be alive to be completely honest with you.
- Nadine, Mind service user
What Trusts and Foundations can expect when partnering with us
We value and support every Trust and Foundation we work with.
To us, a partnership is more than financial support. It’s about having the same values, mission and principles. It’s about shared learning, respect and support.
If you're a Trust or Foundation working with us, you can expect the following:
We'll report back on the impact of your donation
We monitor and evaluate all our projects and programmes. This way you’ll know how your funding is making a difference. We’ll also keep you up to date on our latest research and publications, like Coronavirus: The consequences for mental health.
We'll help you tell others about the work we do together
This might include giving you key messaging and mental health stats, quotes for a press release, or social media graphics.
We'll help you raise awareness and combat stigma
This might include giving you materials to share with your staff on World Mental Health Day or Time to Talk Day. Or sharing our workplace wellbeing resources to help improve mental health in your organisation.
We’ll invite you to exclusive events
At these events you’ll learn more about our work and hear from the people we support. See the highlights from our young trailblazers in conversation with Fiona Bruce event.
We'll value your expertise and insights
We may invite you to roundtables to shape our work and share insights with others in the sector.
Our Partners
Every Trust and Foundation we work with – big or small – helps us fight for better mental health. We're so grateful for their support and we simply could not do what we do without them.
