About the event

Join 2000 trekkers as we venture 25km across the capital, taking in unrivalled views of the skyline from its best vantage points.

Setting out from Putney Bridge - it's East towards the city, zig-zagging over the array of historic bridges - each with its fascinating story. There's a midpoint stop at Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens for some snacks and drinks. 25km later, it's a finish line celebration in Southwark past the majestic Tower Bridge.

New for 2024 - on the evening of Friday 13 September is the Thames Moonlight 10 Walk. Take on 10 miles from The Oval.

This event is strictly walking only, so no jogging or running is allowed.

Trekking across Iceland for mental health - Maria's story

"We knew that the challenge was going to be difficult. 58km covering volcanic rock, miles upon miles of thick snow, ice cold river crossings with steep ascents and descents that pack a punch on the knees. But we've supported each other through mental health problems; we can support each other through anything
