Our Peer Support Employment Groups

Peer Support Employment Groups is our employment project across West London for people with mental health problems, such as anxiety or depression, who are looking for work.

We know other services can help people find work, but they don’t always understand the challenges of returning to work when you have experienced a mental health problem. For example, you might feel nervous about where to start looking for job, or what to do in an interview.

These groups are here to give practical one-to-one support, and to introduce you to other people with similar experiences.

Who we can support

Funded by the Big Lottery and European Social Fund our Peer Support Employment Project is here to support people in West London who are:

  • Living with a common mental health problem
  • Over 25
  • Are eligible to work in the UK
  • Not on any other ESF/JCP project
  • Hoping to return to work.

What we can help with

Delivered by a team of expert advisors, our aims are to support over 500 people throughout the projects life to:

  • Identify their strengths and build confidence
  • Get job ready
  • Support people to gain and retain work or move into education or training
  • Develop a peer led support network
  • Help employers to increase mental health awareness.

Where is the project running?

The projects will be running at the five local Minds below. To find out more, click the link to your local Mind below and get in touch with them stating your interest in taking part.
