We have an exciting opportunity for you to improve the lives of people of colour by helping us to create a mental health service for stroke survivors.
We know that people of Black and South Asian heritage are more likely to have a stroke and have worse recovery rates than other ethnicities.
We have recently designed a mental health support offer for stroke survivors and our next step is to seek funding to pilot it.
Before we do that, we want to make sure that our mental health support meets the needs of people with Black and South Asian heritage.
We want to work with a consultancy that is led by people of Black or South Asian heritage and that has expertise in equity in health services, to provide independent scrutiny of our current plan and provide advice on how to improve our design to ensure equitable access and outcomes for this group of stroke survivors.
