An annual celebration of peer support

Peerfest is our national annual event celebrating the importance, power and diversity of peer support. It's a welcoming, inclusive and inspirational event bringing peers together to network, share knowledge and best practice through workshops, creative activities, debate and The Marsh Awards.

We’re excited to announce that Peerfest is coming to Essex on

Saturday 20th October 2018

Congratulations to Thurrock Mind who came through as the chosen user-led peer support project to host Peerfest18. So put the date in your diary and get ready for an explosion of energy, passion, creativity and diversity to celebrate everything peer support at this annual celebration.

Bookings will open on 5th September - so watch this space!

Peerfest18 is our chance to celebrate all the fantastic examples of peers supporting peers in Thurrock. Our vision is an open, inclusive, event where people, young to old, from all walks of life can get involved and be inspired. We can get a big mixing pot of difference together and get people excited about being part of peer support across the UK

Passionate about peer support and want to get involved in Peerfest18?

Opportunities are now open for you to host a stall, run a workshop, deliver evening entertainment or volunteer pre-event and/or with us on the day. We’re looking for ideas from across the country for this national event – particularly those from smaller groups and marginalised communities.

Meet the National Planning Team

We're a lively and passionate collective that includes a diverse range of local and national organisations and individuals, all working in mental health peer support.

We meet regularly to support Peerfest through creative planning, evaluation and to consider the future of the event. We're open to all and we welcome a variety of experiences, so if you're passionate about peer support and Peerfest please join us.

The National Planning Team came together as a result of our scoping research in 2012, that captured the landscape of peer support projects and led to our Piecing Together the Jigsaw report.
