West Sussex Mind – resettled refugee mental health support worker

A new and exciting role working with West Sussex Mind, alongside the resettle team at West Sussex County Council – supporting refugees and asylum seekers with their mental health across West Sussex.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Offer online and face-to-face one-to-one sessions with a recovery focus
• Work closely with the resettlement team and attend group sessions to promote available mental health support services and deliver short workshops
• Develop links with and work alongside other agencies supporting refugees
• Contribute towards the development of West Sussex Mind services to meet the needs of resettled refugees

About you

We're looking for someone with:

• Strong evidence of previous training or learning (formal or informal) which relates to supporting adults who have mental health needs 
• Excellent literacy, IT and verbal communication skills
