South East London Mind - peer support worker
SEL Mind seek a peer support worker to support people leaving hospital and rebuilding their independence.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Provide peer support on inpatient wards and in the community, helping people transition from hospital to independent living.
- Use your lived experience to support people to build confidence, manage their wellbeing and achieve personal goals.
- Help people reconnect with their communities, relationships and activities that support their recovery.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has lived experience of mental health challenges and can use this safely to support others.
- Has experience building supportive relationships and offering person centred support.
- Brings empathy, resilience and a commitment to recovery focused, inclusive practice.
