Bradford District and Craven Mind – crisis support worker (relief work)
Bradford District and Craven Mind are looking support for a support worker to help people in crisis at their safe spaces service.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Provide one to one crisis support across a range of channels, helping people feel heard and supported.
- Use de-escalation and distraction techniques to support people safely through moments of distress.
- Work closely with colleagues and partners to assess their risk, manage referrals and ensure ongoing support.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting people in mental health crisis or challenging situations.
- Brings strong communication skills, with a calm, non judgemental and empathetic approach.
- Understands safeguarding and can recognise and respond appropriately to risk.
