Our work with marginalised communities
Physical activity has so many benefits for our overall wellbeing. It can boost confidence, improve mood, help us sleep better and even reduce the risk of depression.
We’re championing physical activity and sport for everyone, especially for those of us from marginalised communities, who we know have fewer opportunities to participate and feel less comfortable talking about their thoughts and feelings.
Our approach
We’ve partnered with:
Sporting Equals
We’ve reignited the wellbeing award at Sporting Equals awards. By sponsoring this award, we want to celebrate and recognise organisations and community groups using the power of physical activity to support mental wellbeing.
We’re also providing mental health training workshops for community organisations such as Active Bodies, Healthy Minds.
Muslim Sports Foundation
We’re working together to raise awareness of mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing, and address mental health stigma for Muslim communities.
Muslimah Sports Association (MSA)
We’ve supported MSA and Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge to re-launch the ‘Positive Minds’ programme. The programme supports women’s wellbeing through physical activity and peer to peer support.

Spot. Support. Signpost
Spot. Support. Signpost aims to help anyone, from volunteers to senior leaders, to spot the signs someone may be struggling, support them and signpost them to help and services.
Engaging people in physical activity to support their mental health
We’ve created this guide to upskill sport, physical activity and mental health providers on how to engage and support people experiencing mental health problems in physical activities.
