E.ON's workplace wellbeing initiatives

In 2021, colleagues from E.ON; who are leading the energy transition by bringing accessible and sustainable solutions to every home, business and community; voted to support Mind.

At Mind, we know a workplace that truly values mental health doesn’t just talk about wellbeing – it lives it. That’s exactly what E.ON has done through our partnership.

Together, we’ve made training and resources available so every colleague can prioritise their mental health. E.ON’s commitment earned them Mind’s Gold Award in our Workplace Wellbeing Index – the highest recognition possible – showing mental health is embedded in their culture and everyday practice.

How E.ON is supporting Mind

  • Championing mental health in the workplace – showing that wellbeing is a business priority and inspiring other organisations to follow their lead.
  • Funding vital mental health work – supporting Mind’s services so more people can get help when they need it most.

How Mind is supporting E.ON

  • Delivering expert training – equipping E.ON Next colleagues to support vulnerable customers while safeguarding their own wellbeing.
  • Encouraging open conversations – supporting E.ON events and ‘Time to Talk’ sessions where leaders share experiences and colleagues discuss mental health topics.

Our story so far

In 2023, we delivered training workshops for E.ON Next colleagues on supporting vulnerable customers while safeguarding their own wellbeing – a shared belief that caring for others starts with caring for yourself.

Over 100 ‘Wellbeing Warriors’ now champion mental health across the business, offering more than 900 hours of peer support through conversations and messages.

Their open culture shines through ‘Time to Talk’ sessions, where leaders share their stories and host honest discussions on topics like menopause, bereavement and work-life balance. More than 650 colleagues have taken part – helping make E.ON a place where everyone feels heard, supported and understood.

The partnership, now running through 2026, has raised around £100,000 every year through staff fundraising and match funding. E.ON have also provided pro-bono support and gift in kind donations to Mind shops and Mind national office. They’ve also given focus to wellbeing training and resources for E.ON staff as well as customer support initiatives.
