What is Move for Mind?
Move for a Mind is a huge milestone in the mental health calendar – since 2020 over 14,000 movers have joined our mental health movement and helped power the fight for better mental health support - one step, one walk, or dance move at a time.
If you’re looking to kick off the new year by being more active, this is the perfect challenge to get you started. Simply move for 31 minutes a day throughout January - it's that simple!
The best part? There are no rules. Move your way, every day - walk, run, dance, swim, cycle, skip, or stretch! As long as you’re moving and having fun, it counts.
So, lets start 2026 right – move more, feel good, and raise money for mental health.

How do I sign up for Move for Mind?
Joining is fee and easy - just follow these simple steps:
- Join the Move for Mind Facebook group.
- Complete the registration form in Facebook group's 'about' section.
- Set up your fundraising page - choose between JustGiving or Facebook, whatever works better for you.
- No Facebook? No problem - use this form and set up your JustGiving page instead.
- Receive your FREE Mind t-shirt and activity tracker in the post.
- Start your challenge and get moving!
By joining our Facebook group, you'll be a part of an amazing community cheering you on every step of the way. Our friendly team will also be on hand to support you, offer tips, and answer your questions.
How much do I have to fundraise?
Your fundraising page will automatically set a £150 target. But there's no minimum target for this challenge, so you can choose to increase, decrease or keep it as it is.
Your impact
You want a future where having a mental health problem doesn't mean waiting list, stigma and isolation. Where the 1 in 4 of us with a mental health problem each year can get a quality support. By taking on this challenge for Mind, you'll be fighting to make that happen 💪.
