West Sussex Mind – peer support worker

Help people in mental health crisis in a compassionate evening service at the Crisis Cafe, Worthing.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Offer supportive listening and wellbeing planning for people approaching mental health crisis.
• Work alongside peer workers and NHS practitioners to deliver evening crisis support.
• Signpost individuals to appropriate services and help them build coping strategies.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
• Has experience supporting people from diverse backgrounds.
• Works well in a team and communicates with empathy and compassion.
