Norfolk and Waveney Mind – suicide bereavement facilitator
Want to work for Mind? Join Norfolk & Waveney Mind as a bereavement facilitator, providing 1:1 and group support to people who have lost loved ones to suicide.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Provide timely and compassionate 1:1 support to people bereaved by suicide, including home, community, telephone, and online visits.
- Liaise with coroners, health services, and partner agencies to ensure referrals are managed quickly and sensitively.
- Facilitate bereavement groups, drop-in cafés, and signpost to further support where appropriate.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working 1:1 with vulnerable people and a relevant qualification (mental health, psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, or similar).
- Communicates effectively with service users, colleagues, and partner agencies, both verbally and in writing.
- Is empathetic, resilient, and able to work independently as well as part of a small, dedicated team.
