Mid and North East Essex Mind – mental health support worker 

Mid and North East Essex Mind seek a support worker to help people through emotional distress. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Provide calm, compassionate emotional support to people experiencing distress, both one to one and in groups.
• Use active listening and de escalation techniques to help people feel supported and reduce the need for emergency care. 
• Work alongside local services and colleagues to support people to reach their goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with their mental health or during times of emotional distress. 
• Brings empathy, resilience and a calm, supportive approach to their work.
• wants to develop their skills and experience within a mental health setting.
