York Mind - peer support worker 

York Mind are looking for a peer support worker to support people's mental health across community hubs. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Provide one to one peer support in hubs, hospital settings and the community, helping people feel heard and supported.
• Use your lived experience, alongside professional boundaries, to offer encouragement and practical support.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to help people build confidence, reduce loneliness and improve their wellbeing. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has lived experience of mental health challenges and can reflect on how this can support others. 
• Has experience providing one to one support and strong listening and relationships building skills.
• Understands safeguarding, boundaries and inclusive person centred practice.
