Solent Mind - peer specialist - crisis support (the lighthouse)

Solent Mind seek a peer support worker to help people in crisis at The Lighthouse service. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Provide compassionate support to people experiencing or at risk of mental health crisis. 
• Use your lived experience to offer understanding, encouragement and hope in moments of distress. 
• Work alongside NHS partners to help people develop skills and strategies to manage their wellbeing. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has lived experience of mental health challenges and can use this safely to support others. 
• Has experience supporting people with mental health needs, in a paid or voluntary role. 
• Understands peer support and recovery, with a calm and empathetic approach.
