Courses for anyone

Whether you are an individual or a small employer, we have a mental health training course to suit you. Our public access courses run from our Mind Cymru office in Cardiff only.

These are suitable for anyone interested in workplace wellbeing and mental health. For more details, please see below. Larger groups may be interested in our in-house training option. Take advantage of our early bird rate of just £229 +VAT including lunch and training materials and save £20 by booking at least two weeks in advance. Book your place today.

Mental health awareness

This course aims to raise awareness of mental health, and to understand and recognise the causes, symptoms and support options for a range of common and less-common mental health problems.

This very practical and interactive course gives delegates a chance to explore what non-specialists can do to help colleagues in distress feel safe, supported and understood.

This course is for anyone who works/lives alongside someone who experiences a mental health problem or distress and wants to better support them.

Managing mental health at work

Are you a line manager and keen to support your staff well at work? This course will help you to recognise when a staff member may need support and what you can do to help them.

For anyone who manages staff or who find themselves informally doing so.

This course will increase your understanding of mental health problems and how this can impact on your customers, contacts or clients and how best to support them.

Anyone whose role brings them into direct contact with customers and contacts either face-to-face, over the phone or online.

Emotional intelligence and resilience

In this session; you will explore and identify emotions and help you recognise triggers to stress. Gain an overview of resilience and what it is and leave with an increased awareness of how having both can assist you both inside and outside out of the workplace.

*Young people under the age of 18 are welcome to book any of our public access but must be accompanied by a responsible adult/parent. The accompanying adult/parent will not be charged to attend.

**We welcome small groups of people from the same organisation to join our courses at a maximum of two per course. Please contact us regarding prices before booking. Larger groups may be interested in our in-house training.
