Legends For Good festival launches for good causes including Mind
A brand-new three-day festival - Legends For Good - comes to the Hampshire countryside. The festival aims to help end the stigma around addiction and mental health.
Legends for Good, is a curated, three‑day festival of music, food, sport, wellness, arts, comedy and culture. It's based on Sapley Farm, and has pledged 100% of the profits to Mind, Hammersley Homes and Steps2Recovery, all of which offer crucial support to help people rebuild their lives.
In memory of Clare Scheckter’s 21-year-old daughter Ila, Legends for Good aims to create a powerful and lasting legacy in Ila’s name. Legends for Good is in aid of Mind, Steps2Recovery and Hammersley Homes. The festival aims to end the stigma around addiction and mental health and create positive conversations that move people forward.
Legends For Good founder Clare Scheckter said:
“I learned so much from my daughter Ila. Her bravery and her limitless ability to love everyone and see the best in them inspires me every day. She tried so hard to overcome her addiction, but it was too strong for her. I really wanted to continue to do what she wanted to do so badly - raise awareness, make people understand more about the struggles of those suffering from addiction and mental health with the upmost compassion, and that’s where Legends for Good was born from. We wanted to build more than a festival. We wanted to create a force for change. The festival is about unforgettable days and nights, as well as celebrating and supporting the everyday work that helps people rebuild.”
Emma Ackerman, Executive Director of Income Generation at Mind, said:
“We’re incredibly grateful to Legends for Good for their crucial support. With one in four adults in England and Wales experiencing a mental health problem, events like these offer people a safe space to openly talk about their mental health. Each ticket sold will help us continue our vital work to ensure that everyone experiencing poor mental health feels seen and understood, so that everyone can get the help they need, when they need it.”
Positioned to be a landmark event in the UK’s premium festival calendar, Legends for Good will be held on 23-25 July 2027. Full line-up to be announced in due course. Tickets go on sale on Friday 6 November.
