Opportunities for members

As a member, you can get involved in Mind's work in all sorts of ways. There's no pressure to do anything, but if you are keen to take action we'll support you every step of the way. Potential options include:

  • taking part in surveys, focus groups and government consultations
  • sharing personal experiences to show the truth about mental health
  • joining our local and national campaigns
  • fundraising to support Mind's work

Membership benefits

All members receive the following:

  • Our quarterly Membership magazine, with in-depth features on the big mental health issues, plus celebrity interviews and Mind members' own stories.
  • Our fortnightly enews to keep you up-to-date with Mind news and campaigns, and let you know how you can get involved in our work.
  • The chance to vote for our trustees and to become a trustee yourself.
  • Exclusive extras, from shortlisting the Mind Media Awards, members competitions, opportunities to submit your own writing or art and entry to the Mind membership book club.

A standard one-year membership costs £26. A one-year membership if you are unemployed, receiving benefits, retired or a full-time student costs £6. The membership payment helps to cover the cost of our membership scheme and allows us to communicate to a wider audience.
