Crowns for Causes: Get active and unlock donations for Mind
Celebrate every kind of movement this summer with Strava and the Postcode Lottery. This is more than just a challenge; it’s a movement for mental health.
What is the Crowns for Causes campaign?
We know physical activity and exercise can have a positive impact on mental health, so we are incredibly excited to be partnering with the Postcode Lottery, Strava, and four other national charities with the Crowns for Causes campaign!
Crowns for Causes is a series of active challenges on Strava, where you can unlock donations for your chosen charity. It's completely free to get involved and you don't have to fundraise.
Get active in any way that suits you!
There are three challenges on Strava you can complete. When you complete a challenge you can unlock a donation to the charity of your choice, funded completely by the Postcode Lottery.
Whether you do a long distance run or the daily dog walk, you can get involved and help raise vital funds for mental health support.
How to get involved:
It’s free and easy to support us through the Crowns for Causes campaign:
-
Download Strava and sign up for an account – You will need the Strava app and an account to get involved. The Strava app can be downloaded for free via your app store. If you already have an account, you can log in with this. You do not need to pay for the app, and you do not need to pay for Strava’s premium version to take part.
-
Head to the Strava Challenge gallery to get involved – Find the challenges in the Strava Challenge gallery, sign up to the challenge and you are set! You can also go straight to the Crowns for Causes page.
-
Get active and unlock donations for Mind! – Get active and complete the challenges to unlock a donation for your chosen charity. Once you have unlocked a donation you will have an option to pick a charity to receive it. There is also the opportunity to vote for your chosen charity to receive £100,000.

Challenge 3 - Cover 30km
1st-28th August
Key information:

The impact of your support
This is an incredible opportunity to raise funds for us, without having to do any fundraising or donate yourself.
With each completed challenge, you will help unlock donations that could make sure everyone has access to quality and timely mental health care.
Unlocking a £50 donation could:
Help run our online peer support community Side by Side for 1 hour
Supporting people to connect with others who understand and talk about mental health.
Help us offer 500 information leaflets to a school
Giving young people trusted and verified mental health information.
Nominating Mind for the £100,000 donation could:
Help us keep our Infoline open for a whole month
Providing crucial information and advice for people struggling with their mental health who have nowhere else to turn.
Provide grants to our local Minds to continue their trauma-informed support
Funding localised support that is tailored to different locations and communities.
