West Sussex Mind - peer support worker (crisis cafe)

West sussex Mind seek a peer support worker to support people in crisis through their Staying Well service. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Offer a listening ear and compassionate support to people experiencing or approaching mental health crisis. 
• Work with individuals to create wellbeing plans and connect them to further support. 
• Collaborate with a small team and NHS partners to provide safe, responsive and person centred care. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has lived experience of mental health challenges and can use this to support others. 
• Has experience working with people from diverse backgrounds in a supportive setting. 
• Brings empathy, teamwork and a commitment to personal development and recovery focused practice.
