Tameside, Oldham, Glossop and Stockport Mind – Adults Therapeutic Counsellor

TOGS Mind seeks an experienced Counsellor to deliver person-centred therapy and mental health support across Oldham.

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Deliver 50-minute person-centred counselling sessions, supporting clients for up to 20 weeks

• Provide initial assessments and short-term therapy through designated GP surgeries

• Manage client caseloads, referrals and safeguarding concerns while working collaboratively with internal teams and external services

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 4 counselling diploma or equivalent recognised qualification, with at least two years’ post-qualification experience

• Has experience providing short-term counselling for mild to moderate anxiety, depression and other common mental health concerns

• Can manage risk and safeguarding concerns, uphold BACP ethical standards and demonstrate a commitment to reflective practice and continued professional development
