Solent Mind – peer support worker PCN 

Solent Mind seek a peer support worker to support people with mental health challenges through recovery. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Give one to one and group support to people experiencing mental health challenges, using your lived experience to inspire hope and recovery.
• Work alongside GP practices and wellbeing teams to help people access the right support and improve their mental health wellbeing. 
• Build trusting relationships that help people develop confidence, overcome challenges and take positive steps on their recovery journey. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has lived experience of mental health challenges and can use this safely and meaningfully to support others.
• Has experience working with people with mental health needs and understands the challenges people can face during recovery.
• Brings strong communication and relationship building skills, with a compassionate and person centred approach.
