Mid and North East Essex Mind – mental health evening support worker

Mid and North East Essex Mind is looking for an evening support worker to help people in mental health crisis. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Offer calm, compassionate emotional support to people experiencing mental health crisis. 
• Use active listening and de-escalation techniques to help people feel heard, safe and supported.
• Connect people with the right services and practical support to help them regain choice and control.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people experiencing mental health crisis or complex mental health needs. 
• Is empathetic and resilient, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations. 
• Can build trusting relationships quickly and respond sensitively to individual needs.
