So many will be snowed in with poor mental health this winter. No one should have to reach crisis before getting support.

Mind are here to step in before you get snowed in. But we can't be there, in all these places and for everyone, without support.

Craft a snowflake on your own, with your friends, family or neighbours and help someone clear the snow.

How does it work?

1. Choose a time and date that works for you.

2. Grab some white paper, some scissors, a cosy hot drink and start crafting your snowflakes (see our tutorial below).

3. Stick your snowflake creations on your window and ask your friends and neighbours to do the same.

4. You can even design a trail of neighbourhood windows for the local community to follow.

How do I fundraise?

  • Make a donation – simply make a donation on our website quoting 'snowflake' to show your support.

  • Set up a JustGiving page and ask your friends, families and neighbours to make a donation to your page after displaying their own snowflakes.

  • Bring your community together to create a magical snowflake trail! Invite people to decorate their windows with handmade snowflakes and festive Christmas scenes. Create a map of all participating displays and offer it for a suggested donation. Using Eventbrite makes it easy to register participants and keep in touch via email.

  • Host a Christmas crafts fundraiser!  Invite friends, family and neighbours round for an afternoon of snowflake making and other festive crafts while enjoying seasonal treats. Ask for a donation to join in the fun.

  • Take on a sponsored snowflake challenge –  set yourself a goal to make as many snowflakes within a set amount of time and ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you.

Top tip: The more shapes you cut, the more intricate your snowflake design will be. Just be careful not to cut all the way through any edge.
