Tameside, Oldham, Glossop and Stockport Mind - mental health first responder

TOGS Mind are looking for a mental health first responder to provide crisis support and telephone triage services. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Provide telephone based support to people of all ages experiencing a mental health crisis.
• Carry out initial assessments and help people manage distress through compassionate, recovery focused support.
• work alongside NHS colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure people receive the right level of care.  

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with mental health needs or in crisis situations.
• Can remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly and empathetically.
• Understands risk, safeguarding and the importance of person centred, recovery focused support.
