North Kent Mind – trainee cognitive behavioural therapist
North Kent Mind seek a trainee CBT therapist to support children and young people's mental health.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Train to become a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) while supporting children and young people experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, PSTD and other common mental health difficulties.
- Deliver supervised CBT interventions, carrying out assessments, developing treatment treatment plans and supporting children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes.
- Combine academic study with clinical practice, working alongside a multidisciplinary team and partner organisations to provide high quality mental health support across North Kent.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant degree and experience working with children, young people and families within a mental health setting.
- Is committed to developing their CBT knowledge and successfully completing postgraduate training alongside clinical practice.
- Brings strong communication, organisational and relationship building skills, with an understanding of safeguarding and person centred support.
