Mind in the city Hackney and Waltham Forest – neighbourhoods recovery worker 

Mind CHWF seek a recovery worker to support people on their substance misuse recovery journey. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Give one to one support to people seeking recovery from substance misuse, helping them achieve their goals and build changes in their lives. 
• Work closely with clinical teams, pharmacies and partner organisations to ensure people receive joined up, person centred support at the right time.
• Use recovery focused approaches such as motivational interviewing, SMART goals and risk management planning to support long term recovery. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with substance misuse, mental health or complex support needs.
• Can build trusting relationships and provide compassionate, non judgmental support.
• Understands recovery focused practice and works effectively with a range of health, social care and community partners.
