Mind in Brighton and Hove seek a community advocate to support people to understand and uphold their rights.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Help people have their voices heard by providing independent advocacy support and helping them understand their rights and options.
- Work alongside individuals to identify their needs, represent their views and support them to take part in decisions about their care, housing and wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships with services and professionals to help people access the support they need while promoting self advocacy and independence.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting people in mental health services or similar client focused environment.
- Can manage a caseload, build trusting relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
- Brings excellent communication skills, a good understanding of advocacy and a commitment to empower people to exercise their rights.
