Mid and North East Essex Mind – sessional counsellor

Mid and North East Essex Mind seek a counsellor to provide one to one therapy for adults in Chelmsford. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Give one to one counselling to adults, helping them explore challenges, improve their wellbeing and work towards positive change.
• Manage your own caseload, carrying out assessments, maintaining accurate records and responding appropriately to safeguarding and risk concerns.
• Work with a supportive counselling service, collaborating with colleagues and contributing to service quality, learning and development. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Diploma in Counselling and is a registered member of BACP, either accredited or working towards accreditation. 
• Has experience providing therapeutic support to adults and managing a counselling or psychotherapy caseload. 
• Brings strong counselling, communication and safeguarding skills, with the ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
