Mid and North East Essex Mind – mental health hospital link worker 

Mid and North East Essex Mind seek a hospital link worker to support people experiencing emotional distress. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Give immediate emotional support to people experiencing distress in hospital setting, helping them feel heard, supported and understood.
• Work alongside hospital teams to help de-escalate crisis situations and connect people with the right mental health and community services. 
• Support people to develop coping strategies and access local resources that can improve their wellbeing beyond their hospital visit. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with mental health needs or emotional distress in a health, social care of related setting.
• Can remain calm and compassionate in fast paced environments while building positive relationships with a wide range of people. 
• Brings strong communication, safeguarding and record keeping skills, with a person centred approach to support.
