Mid and North East Essex Mind – mental health hospital link worker 

Mid and North East Essex Mind seek a hospital link worker to support people experiencing mental distress. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

• Provide immediate, person centred support to people experiencing emotional distress in a hospital setting. 
• Work alongside clinical teams to help de escalate crisis situations and connect people with appropriate support. 
• Help individuals access community resources and develop strategies to support their mental health and wellbeing. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting people with mental health needs or emotional distress in a health, social care or related setting. 
• Is a skilled communicator who can build trust and remain calm in a fast paced and challenging environments. 
• Understands safeguarding, professional boundaries and the importance of compassionate, person centred support.
