Bradford District and Craven Mind - community wellbeing worker - hospital buddies

Bradford District and Craven Mind seek a wellbeing worker to support young people in hospital settings. 

What you'll do

In this role you'll:

  • Provide one to one support to children and young people in hospital, helping them manage emotional, social and mental welling challenges. 
  • Use wellbeing activities, coping strategies and de-escalation techniques to support young people during their hospital stay. 
  • Work alongside hospital staff and partner services to ensure children and young people receive joined up person-centred support. 

About you

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience or qualifications in youth work, mental health, social care or supporting children and young people. 
  • Can build trusting relationships and provide compassionate support in challenging situations. 
  • Is committed to helping young people feel heard, valued and empowered in their wellbeing journey.
