Now open for nominations

Media plays a huge role in all our lives. TV, radio, print or online: it has the power to shape public opinion and challenge perceptions.

The Mind Media Awards, now in their ^twentieth year, celebrate journalists, programme makers, broadcasters and bloggers who’ve abandoned stereotypes in favour of accurate portrayals of mental health. We want to celebrate the individuals and teams who’ve helped to challenge stigma and increase understanding.

Nominations for the 2013 awards are now open for items broadcast or published between 8 June 2012 to 8 June 2013 (inclusive).

Programme makers and publications can submit their work directly in one of our ten categories. But we’d also love to hear from you if there's a journalist, student journalist or piece of digital media that’s inspired you this year.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 28 June 2013.

Shortlisted entries will be announced in September.

Winners will be announced at the ceremony this November.
