Abbreviations and acronyms
We avoid using too many acronyms and abbreviations. If you need to use an abbreviation or an acronym, spell it out in full the first time you mention it and put the short version in brackets after it. For example:
- Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is…
- Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
After the first instance of use, just use the short version.
