Peer Support at Work
Peer Mentors for Mental Health
Based in Liverpool, there are over 10 schools that have been trained in peer mentoring with over 250 trained young mentors. Acting as mental health champions within their schools, they're spreading the message that mental health affects everyone in order to combat the stigma around it, as well as being there for those who need to talk.
Doing it for Ourselves
The group is for women over the age of 50 from BME communities in Blackburn, many are still developing their English language skills and have often been reliant on their partners, economically and emotionally. The group activities help improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
Innovative Peer Support
This unique group supports Deaf people with mental health problems and is a partnership between Deaf Led charity SignHealth and mental health charity Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service (LSLCS), funded by the Tudor Trust.
