Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest – peer navigator volunteer
We're looking for volunteers with lived experience of mental health to use their insights to support others.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- Make calls to residents of Hackney who are not eligible for our core service, offering tailored support based on what they're looking for
- Familiarise yourself with our signposting resources, and be aware of what's on offer in Hackney, sharing services you find with the team
- Ensure people you speak to feel heard and supported
- Attend fortnightly group supervisions with other peer navigators
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- Lived experience of mental health
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with others in a team
- Commitment to team working
