Mind in Haringey – mental wellbeing coordinator
Mind in Haringey are looking for a mental wellbeing coordinator to manage and lead the development and delivery of peer support services via our grassroot organisation partners. This will include managing and supporting grassroot organisations to deliver one-to-one wellbeing activities for their respective communities.
What you'll do
In this role you'll:
- With the local organisations, coordinate and develop safe, fulfilling group activities that improve community members' mental wellbeing
- Promote understanding of the principles and practice of peer support and user run services amongst staff and service users
- Deliver group peer support alongside grassroots organisations
- Ensure the safe delivery of the peer support and wellbeing activities in the Haringey mental wellbeing project
- Work closely with mental wellbeing project coordinator to ensure the service is marketed to the appropriate audiences in an accessible, compelling way
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- Experience of working in mental health services
- Experience of recruiting, managing, and supporting volunteers
- Experience of line managing staff
- Experience of working within community-based services
- Experience of developing new projects or services
- Experience of working collaboratively in a team
- Experience of delivering training, presentations and facilitating workshops
