Case study: A Champion's Celebration
In February 2016, Champions in Norwich helped plan and deliver a regional Time to Change Champions' Celebration. These events provide an opportunity for Champions from across the region to network and share skills.
A small team of Norwich Champions met to discuss ideas and explore what they wanted from the day, then worked alongside the regional Time to Change coordinator to plan the event. They designed workshops and activities, chose people to run them, booked the venue, and organised refreshments.
One of the day's aims was to collect feedback from the campaign groups as part of Time to Change's evaluation process.
The event's organisers were given a template of questions and discussion topics. Sessions were devised and facilitated without staff present to encourage open discussions and elicit honest feedback. A video booth was also run where Champions were interviewed as part of the evaluation.
Feedback from this event and other regional events has been used to guide the design of the following phases of the Time to Change campaign.
