We're thrilled to be working with WHSmith for 2017 as one of their National Charity Partners for their 225th anniversary celebrations, along with Cancer Research UK and National Literacy Trust.
This major partnership comprises staff and customer fundraising, alongside invaluable volunteering and awareness raising to promote understanding of mental health.
With WHSmith's support, we can develop our vital new work with young people. Together, we can change the lives of vulnerable people and improve the services and support they receive. 1 in 5 young people will experience a mental health problem at some point, and 50% of mental health problems in adult life start before the age of 15 – nearly 75% before the age of 18.
Paul Farmer, Mind's CEO comments: "We're thrilled WHSmith has chosen Mind as a charity partner for their 225th anniversary celebrations. This partnership is spearheading funding to develop Mind's new work with young people, so we can make a vital difference to the lives of those with mental health problems."
"Our partnership with Mind will not just bring opportunities to raise funds, but also raise awareness around mental health issues."
