Marshalls

We have a two-year partnership with the UK's leading hard landscaping manufacturer, Marshalls. As well as fundraising for Mind, Marshalls are keen to raise awareness about mental health issues throughout their organisation.

Marshalls are planning to raise an impressive £100,000 for Mind each year and implement a course of training in mental health awareness for staff throughout the organisation.

Jack Clarke, Group Finance Director at Marshalls, comments

 "Mental health is an issue which touches everyone and affects most families. My family and I suffered the loss of our son Daniel after a long term mental health issue and received much support and help along the way, but we also learnt that there is a good deal more that needs to be done.

The most important thing is to raise awareness and make people feel comfortable and at ease talking to friends, family and colleagues about mental health. It is not something to be ashamed about; indeed, bringing it out into the open and providing support is the best way forward."

I for one know that all the board and management team at Marshalls are excited and committed to supporting and working in partnership with Mind throughout the year by raising vital funds for an extremely worthwhile cause, as well as working to end the stigma surrounding mental health."

There is plenty of fundraising planned throughout the partnership, including an extreme challenge organised by the company's Directors. We are confident that Marshalls will smash their target and help us ensure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone.
